Noise Characterization of the ATLAS Tile Calorimeter Readout System
It is shown that the addition of a low pass RC filter to the current ATLAS Tile Calorimeter 3-in-1 card decreases the high frequency noise. A peak in the output voltage is found for 29 Mhz input noise but is filtered out by the same low pass filter.
متن کاملEvent filter monitoring with the ATLAS tile calorimeter
The ATLAS Tile Calorimeter detector is presently involved in an intense phase of subsystems integration and commissioning with muons of cosmic origin. Various monitoring programs have been developed at different levels of the data flow to tune the set-up of the detector running conditions and to provide a fast and reliable assessment of the data quality already during data taking. This paper fo...
متن کاملThe ATLAS Tile Calorimeter Test Beam Monitoring Program
During 2003 test beam session for ATLAS Tile Calorimeter a monitoring program has been developed to ease the setup of correct running condition and the assessment of data quality. The program has been built using the Online Software services provided by the ATLAS Online Software group. The first part of this note contains a brief overview of these services followed by the full description of Ti...
متن کاملEeect of the Tile Calorimeter Thickness in the Atlas Barrel Calorimeter Performance
We report on the study of the eeect of the Tile calorimeter thickness in the ATLAS Barrel calorimeter performance. The reduction of the Tile Calorimeter depth by 20 cm would have severe consequences on the hadron calorimeter performance and would increase the punchtrough probability in the muon chambers placed behind the calorimeter. Cost savings are also analysed.
متن کاملTest of ATLAS RPCs Front-End electronics
The Front-End Electronics performing the ATLAS RPCs readout is a full custom 8 channels GaAs circuit, which integrates in a single die both the analog and digital signal processing. The die is bonded on the Front-End board which is completely closed inside the detector Faraday cage. About 50 000 FE boards are foreseen for the experiment. The complete functionality of the FE boards will be certi...
